The Autovalve is designed to automatically release trapped air from a radiator in a heating system. Unlike traditional manual bleed valves that require manual adjustment, autovalves are equipped with a mechanism that opens and closes based on the presence of air within the radiator. These valves help maintain optimal heating system performance by preventing the buildup of air pockets that can hinder the circulation of hot water.

Here are some key features and functions of Autovalves:

  1. Self-Regulating: Autovalves are designed to regulate themselves, opening automatically when air is detected and closing when the air has been purged.

  2. Air Sensing Mechanism: The valve is equipped with an air-sensing float mechanism, that responds to the presence of air within the radiator.

  3. Maintenance-Free: Once installed, Autovalves generally require minimal maintenance. The automatic functionality means that you don't need to manually bleed the radiators.

  4. Energy Efficiency: By preventing the accumulation of air in the heating system, autovalves contribute to the overall energy efficiency of the system. Improved water circulation enhances the heat transfer efficiency of the radiators.

  5. Easy Installation: Automatic bleed valves are designed for easy installation, and they can be retrofitted onto existing radiators with a 1/2" thread.

  6. Temperature Control: Efficient removal of air pockets helps maintain consistent temperatures across the radiator, ensuring more even heating throughout the home.

FAQ's
Q: Do these fit any radiator? A: They will fit all radiators with a 1/2 inch thread valve.
Q: Where Autovalves Made?

A: Autovalves are made in Germany.

Q: How do they work?

A: Autovalves use a membrane with special holes that allow the air to escape but not the water. Once the water reaches the membrane this then expands sealing the radiator off with no air trapped inside.

Brilliant product!

Ordered some of these and, despite an initial problem (which was sorted out very, very quickly) these have to be my best buy this year! Was a little sceptical at first but after fitting them - which was really easy! - I can now state with absolute confidence that these valves do everything it says they do. Every single centimetre of every radiator I have fitted them to is red hot - so much so that I've had to turn the thermostat down. Don't hesitate to get these and yes, do believe the hype!
