EVERGREEN 3 in 1 Rust Converter Primer & Paint

EVERGREEN is designed to convert rust into a stable compound and prevent further corrosion on metal surfaces. It is particularly useful for surfaces that already have rust or corrosion, as it chemically reacts with iron oxide (rust) and transforms it into a protective layer. Once applied, EVERGREEN is touch dry in just 30 minutes, with full cure time taking around 24 hours.

Chemical Conversion: EVERGREEN contains an active ingredient that chemically reacts with the iron oxide in rust, converting it into a more stable compound.

Stabilizes Rust: The chemical reaction transforms rust into a black or dark blue substance, often referred to as ferric tannate or iron phosphate. This stable layer helps prevent further oxidation, effectively halting the progression of rust.

Primer Properties: EVERGREEN also works as a primer. Once the rust is converted, the product provides a primed surface suitable for overpainting with another paint type.

Easy Application: EVERGREEN is typically easy to apply with a brush or roller. It can be used on various surfaces, including iron, steel, plastics, wood, glass & more....          

Versatility: EVERGREEN is versatile and can be used in various sectors, such as automotive, fences, railings, machinery, woodwork, DIY, garden, and craft. It can withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to +240°C.

Long-Term Protection: When used properly, EVERGREEN offers long-term protection against rust formation. It remains permanently flexible and resistant to further cracking.

How To Apply: It is important that the surface being treated is properly prepared and structurally sound before application. While we have tested the product on a wide range of materials, it is impossible to test on every possible surface. For example, certain woods may contain oil-based additives or be pressure-treated (tanalised), which can reduce adhesion.

Some plastics can also contain a high oil content, which may prevent proper bonding. In these cases, thorough sanding to create a keyed, roughened surface will significantly improve adhesion and overall performance.

We always recommend carrying out a small test patch first and allowing it to fully cure before proceeding with the entire area. This ensures correct adhesion and confirms the final finish meets your expectations.
